Terms of Service
Last updated 15 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and [OPERATOR NAME] ("we"), who runs TarotSense. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Questions go to [CONTACT EMAIL].
1. What TarotSense is
TarotSense helps you record tarot cards you draw and think them through. It gives you an interpretation made from a fixed reference deck, or written by an AI model if you choose that. It is a tool for reflection.
2. What it is not
- It does not predict the future. A reading is a prompt to think with, not a statement of what will happen.
- It is not professional advice. Nothing in TarotSense is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Do not use it in place of a doctor, therapist, lawyer or financial adviser, and do not make important decisions on a reading alone.
- It is not crisis support. If you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself, call your local emergency number (112 in the EU) or a crisis line.
3. AI-generated text
AI-assisted interpretations and photo card reading are produced by third-party AI models reached through OpenRouter. AI output can be wrong, odd, or miss the point. Photo reading can name the wrong card; always check the cards before you save. Using these features sends some of your reading to those providers, as explained in the Privacy Policy. The rule-based engine is always available instead.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Use an email address you control, and keep your password to yourself.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.
5. Using the service fairly
Do not:
- break the law using TarotSense, or store unlawful content in it;
- try to access other people's accounts or data;
- attack, overload, probe or get around the limits of the service;
- scrape it, or use automated tools to make heavy use of it, including the AI features;
- resell or rebrand the service.
6. Your content
Your questions, notes and photos stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only as needed to run TarotSense for you, including sending them to OpenRouter when you use an AI feature. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
7. Our content
The app, its design, and its written card meanings and interpretations belong to us. You may keep and use the interpretations of your own readings for personal purposes.
8. Availability and changes
TarotSense is currently free. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change features, or end the service; if we end it, we will give you reasonable notice to download your data. Keep your own copy of anything that matters to you.
9. Liability
The service is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, or for decisions you make based on a reading. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using TarotSense at any time, and delete your account yourself on the Account page. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where reasonable, we will warn you first and explain why.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can close your account before then.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and can bring a claim in your local courts. Please contact us first; we would rather sort it out directly. Consumers can also take a dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board.
